Health Screening for Elders in Manmunai South Batticaloa District

Vanni Hope is proud to announce the successful completion of our Health Screening for Elders project in Manmunai South – Kollanmulai, located in the Batticaloa District. This Health & Wellbeing initiative, aimed at improving the lives of elderly community members, was carried out with the generous sponsorship of Vanni Hope. Our focus was to ensure that elders in the area receive the necessary health screenings and support to lead healthier lives.

During the health screening, elders from the community received comprehensive check-ups, including assessments of their blood pressure, glucose levels, body mass index (BMI), and other vital health indicators. These tests are crucial in identifying early signs of chronic conditions such as hypertension and diabetes, which are common among the elderly population. By addressing these issues early, we aim to provide timely interventions that can significantly improve their quality of life.

We believe that supporting the elderly in our communities goes beyond healthcare; it’s about offering them the dignity and respect they deserve. Through this project, Vanni Hope continues to uphold our commitment to enhancing the health and wellbeing of disadvantaged communities in Sri Lanka. For a detailed look at the health screening process and the impact it had on the lives of the elders in Manmunai South, check out our video below.
