As part of Vanni Hope’s Emergency Response Project, we provided essential food and non-food items to our Vipulananda Boys Home in Palugamam, Batticaloa District, following the devastating floods that impacted the region. This initiative aimed to support the 51 boys residing at the home, ensuring their basic needs were met during this challenging time.
Providing Relief in Times of Crisis
The recent floods in Batticaloa District caused significant disruption, leaving many families and institutions struggling to access essential resources. The Vipulananda Boys Home, which provides shelter and care to vulnerable boys, faced immense challenges as a result of the flooding.
Recognising the urgent need for support, Vanni Hope delivered food and non-food items to the home, helping to restore stability and comfort for the boys during this period of uncertainty.
