Repairing Classrooms at J/Ramanathan Hindu Ladies College

At Vanni Hope, we believe that every child deserves a safe and inspiring place to learn. After severe storm damage completely tore off the roof of a classroom at J/Ramanathan Hindu Ladies College, students and teachers faced significant disruptions to their learning environment.

Thanks to the generous sponsorship of S & B Sivagnanasundaram from Sydney, Australia, we were able to restore and repair the damaged classroom under our Education Infrastructure initiative, which falls under our broader Education Support Project.

What We Did

The classroom had suffered severe structural damage, leaving it exposed to the elements and unusable for students. Our restoration efforts included:

• Complete roof reconstruction to ensure the classroom is weatherproof and secure
• Wall repairs and painting to create a bright and welcoming learning space
• Additional structural reinforcements to improve durability and safety

Impact on Students and Teachers

This restoration project ensures that students have a safe, uninterrupted space to continue their education. A functional classroom is more than just a building—it represents stability, security, and opportunity for the young minds learning within it.

Now, students at J/Ramanathan Hindu Ladies College can return to their studies without fear of weather-related disruptions, and teachers can conduct lessons in an environment that supports engagement and academic success.
