Vanni Hope is proud to announce the donation of a sewing machine to Fathima Afna, a woman-headed family from Pottuvil in the Ampara District. This initiative, generously sponsored by Dr. Malathi Waran from Australia, is part of our Small-Cottage Industry Project, which focuses on empowering women by providing them with the tools and resources needed to achieve economic independence.
This sewing machine will enable Fathima to start her own tailoring business, creating a sustainable source of income for her and her family. By equipping women with the skills and equipment necessary for small-scale businesses, Vanni Hope aims to foster self-reliance and contribute to the economic development of local communities. This project is one of many steps we are taking to uplift and support women-headed households in the region.
