Vanni Hope and Hospital Services Council Donate Medical Equipment to Thirukkovil Base Hospital

Vanni Hope, in partnership with the Hospital Services Council, has donated essential medical equipment to Thirukkovil Base Hospital in the Ampara District, strengthening healthcare services and improving patient care. This initiative is part of our ongoing Health Enhancement projects, aimed at supporting hospitals in underserved regions with critical resources.

Empowering Healthcare Services

To help the hospital better serve its community, Vanni Hope provided a range of medical equipment including ICU beds, hospital beds, wheelchairs, defibrillators, CPAP machines, patient chairs, shower chairs, drugs trolleys, and string pumps. The donation also included 100 patient chairs to improve comfort for patients and visitors, along with bed sheets and mattresses to ensure clean and safe environments for care.

Recognising the need for compatible and functional medical setups, we also supplied important accessories such as 110-220V converters, defibrillator pads, and electronic instrument panels for ICU beds. These additions ensure that both the new and existing equipment can function seamlessly, maximising efficiency and patient safety.

Improving Patient Care and Hospital Operations

This donation is designed to address critical gaps in healthcare services, helping Thirukkovil Base Hospital improve its capacity for emergency care, long-term patient support, and outpatient services. With essential tools like CPAP machines and defibrillators, the hospital is better equipped to handle acute cases, while additional beds, wheelchairs, and patient chairs improve overall comfort and care quality.

These improvements directly impact the daily operations of the hospital, supporting both medical staff and patients in a facility that plays a crucial role in the community.
