Vanni Hope is thrilled to announce the successful completion of our Health and Well-being Empowerment project — the renovation of the Navithanveli Maternal & Child Care Clinic in Ambepara, Kalmunai. This significant initiative is part of our ongoing mission to enhance healthcare accessibility and quality in the Batticaloa District, particularly for pregnant women, nursing mothers, and children in these communities.
Our renovation of the clinic involved extensive upgrades to create a safe and welcoming environment for both patients and staff. Key improvements included the installation of new sanitation facilities, a reliable, clean water supply, and a sturdy new roof to ensure the durability of the building. We also created child-friendly spaces, including a playground area for children to enjoy and a comfortable waiting area for families. To prioritise safety, a secure perimeter fence was also added to the clinic grounds.
The inauguration of the clinic, led by Dr. Silmir, the Navithanveli Health Officer, was a joyous occasion marked by the presence of our Coordinator for Sri Lanka, M.R.M. Faris, and other notable community leaders. This renovation stands as a symbol of our unwavering commitment to improving healthcare services and empowering communities through collaborative efforts.
