Supporting Future Scientists with a Scholarship for R. Jeevathas in Mullaitivu

We are proud to share the story of R. Jeevathas, a determined and deserving student from Vattappalai in Mulliyawalai, Mullaitivu District, who has been awarded a student scholarship under our Education Support Initiatives.

Jeevathas is currently studying for his A/Ls in Biology at MU/Vidyanantha College, with the dream of pursuing a career in medicine. Despite facing severe financial challenges, including the absence of his father and the limited income from his mother’s preschool teaching job, Jeevathas continues to excel in his academic journey.

Thanks to the generosity of sponsor Chrisanthi Kunaratnam from Australia, we are able to support Jeevathas with a monthly scholarship for 18 months. This scholarship will help cover the costs of essential educational needs such as travel, stationery, food, and hostel accommodation—expenses that would otherwise be a barrier to his continued learning.
