As part of our ongoing Health & Wellbeing Empowerment initiatives under the Women’s Empowerment category, Vanni Hope is proud to collaborate with the People’s Service Council (PSC) to provide essential hospital items for women at Trincomalee Base Hospital. This initiative focuses on ensuring that women, particularly those from underserved communities, have access to necessary hygiene and wellness products during their hospital stay.
One of the key aspects of this project is the donation of sanitary pads to women at the hospital. Access to feminine hygiene products is critical for women’s health, yet many patients face financial barriers that prevent them from acquiring these essential items. By distributing sanitary pads and other hospital essentials, this initiative not only helps improve comfort and dignity during their hospital visit but also contributes to better health outcomes.
