Covid-19 Dry Food Supply in Vilangulam Village

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Vanni Hope, in collaboration with the People’s Service Council, provided essential dry food supplies to the residents of Vilangulam Village. This initiative was aimed at supporting families who were severely impacted by the economic fallout of the pandemic, ensuring that they had access to basic food items during this challenging time.

Supporting Vulnerable Communities

The COVID-19 crisis left many communities in Sri Lanka struggling to meet their daily needs, with families facing food insecurity due to job losses and economic disruptions. In response to this urgent need, Vanni Hope partnered with the People’s Service Council to deliver dry food packs to the most vulnerable households in Vilangulam Village. These food packs contained essential items such as rice, lentils, and other staples to help families sustain themselves through the lockdown periods.

A Collective Effort for a Brighter Future

The joint efforts of Vanni Hope and the People’s Service Council represent a strong commitment to supporting those in need during times of crisis. By providing these crucial resources, we aim to not only address the immediate food shortages but also uplift the community’s morale and resilience. Together, we continue to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those affected by the pandemic, paving the way for a more hopeful and secure future.
