Vanni Hope remains committed to providing opportunities to students across Sri Lanka, from primary school through to university. Through our Education Support Initiative, we aim to ensure that no student’s potential is limited by financial hardship. Two recent student sponsorships, one in the Badulla District and the other in the Nuwara Eliya District, exemplify this commitment in action.
Architecture Student T. Ranjith Sponsored to Continue Studies at the University of Moratuwa
T. Ranjith, a second-year architecture student at the University of Moratuwa, is from Galkanda Watte, Great Western, Talawakelle in the Nuwara Eliya District. Ranjith comes from a family of estate workers with very limited income. Despite his academic talent and ambition, he was at risk of discontinuing his studies due to the financial burden of university expenses, including food, accommodation, learning materials, and transport.
Thanks to the generous sponsorship from Ms. Pradeepa Kumarasamy (Canada), Vanni Hope is now providing Ranjith with the support he needs to continue his architectural studies. His scholarship will span the full remaining duration of his course and includes living and study expenses. This support allows Ranjith to focus entirely on his future, one that promises to be filled with creativity and impact.
Grade 8 Student P. Kritheesh Sponsored in Badulla District
P. Kritheesh is a Grade 8 student at Saraswathy Central College in Passara, Badulla District. At just 13 years old, Kritheesh already understands the weight of responsibility. After losing his father, he and his family have struggled financially, and his mother is now the sole breadwinner for a household that includes his grandparents. Without financial support, Kritheesh’s education was at risk.
Thanks to the sponsorship provided by Mrs. Radha Pathy (Australia) and implemented through Vanni Hope, Kritheesh can now continue his studies without worry. His scholarship covers school-related expenses, including textbooks, transportation, food, and administrative costs, ensuring that he can continue learning in a stable and supportive environment.
A Commitment to Educational Continuity
These sponsorships represent more than financial aid; they are investments in Sri Lanka’s future. Whether it’s supporting a young student in Grade 8 or an aspiring architect in university, Vanni Hope believes in standing beside students at every stage of their educational journey.
We thank our generous sponsors for their continued trust and commitment to uplifting lives through education.
