At Vanni Hope, we are incredibly proud to celebrate the remarkable achievement of Srichandran Varsika, who recently graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB Hons) from the University of Jaffna. Varsika’s journey is a shining example of what perseverance, hard work, and support can accomplish.
Hailing from Chavalkkadu in Jaffna, Varsika overcame numerous personal and financial challenges to reach this milestone. Coming from a humble family where financial hardship was a daily reality, Varsika never allowed obstacles to deter her dream of becoming a lawyer. Her resilience and dedication to education were unwavering, even in the face of adversity.
This incredible achievement was made possible in part by the Student Sponsorship Program under Vanni Hope’s Education Support Initiatives. We extend our sincere thanks to Sharmala and Ralph Kanagasingam from Australia, whose generous sponsorship provided Varsika with the financial assistance she needed to complete her degree. Their support ensured that she could pursue her studies without interruption, allowing her to focus entirely on her academic journey.
In a heartfelt letter addressed to the Chairman of Vanni Hope and her sponsors, Varsika wrote:
“Without your support, I couldn’t achieve this milestone in my life. You understood my family situation and gave me the support—especially the financial support—which was very important to continuing my studies without any barriers.
