Vanni Hope is proud to announce the successful completion of a Model Mathematics Classroom at MN/St. Anne’s Primary School in the Mannar District, located in the Jaffna District. This project, implemented under our Education Support Initiative and generously sponsored by Dr. Paramaswamy Paramsothy, is part of our broader mission to strengthen foundational education in rural Sri Lanka.
Addressing Educational Gaps in Rural Communities
Students at MN/St. Anne’s Primary School, many from families engaged in farming or daily wage work, have historically faced obstacles in accessing high-quality education—particularly in mathematics. The new classroom directly addresses these challenges by providing a dedicated, well-equipped learning space that supports active engagement and academic growth.
Project Outcomes
- Direct Beneficiaries: 277 students
- Indirect Beneficiaries: 500 students from other levels who access the improved facilities and learning tools
This project is expected to:
- Improve student performance in mathematics
- Encourage regular attendance and participation
- Inspire future careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics
- Support equitable education opportunities for children in remote areas
A Step Toward Long-Term Impact
By equipping MN/St. Anne’s Primary School with modern mathematics resources, Vanni Hope is laying the foundation for better academic outcomes and long-term community development. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Paramaswamy Paramsothy for making this impact possible.
