New Model Maths Classroom & Laptop Provided to Kathiresar Vidyalayam in Periyaveli Mutur Trincomalee District

Vanni Hope is proud to announce the establishment of a new Maths Classroom at T/MU/SRI Kathiresar Vidyalayam in Periyaveli, Mutur, Trincomalee District. This Education Support initiative provides essential mathematical resources to benefit 200 students from Grade 1 to Grade 11.

Kathiresar Vidyalayam plays a vital role in supporting children in the Eastern Province, particularly in developing mathematical applications, data interpretation, statistics, and practical problem-solving skills. The curriculum emphasises core foundations, including addition and subtraction of decimals, multiplication and division of decimals, and effective number manipulation.

By equipping the school with dedicated mathematical instruments and learning tools, Vanni Hope has helped create a more engaging and practical learning environment. These resources help students visualise concepts more effectively, strengthen analytical thinking, and build confidence in mathematics.

Strengthening Mathematics Outcomes

This project aims to increase mathematics examination pass rates, improve academic development, and raise overall educational standards within the school. By supporting foundational mathematics skills, we help students build stronger academic pathways and prepare them for higher education opportunities.

Structured Implementation and Accountability

The project followed a transparent and structured process, including school request review, proposal development, procurement of mathematical instruments, implementation, and ongoing monitoring. Monitoring and Evaluation measures include classroom observations, attendance tracking, analysis of exam performance, and feedback from teachers and students to ensure measurable impact.

This project included the provision of mathematical instruments, transportation, and follow-up monitoring.

At Vanni Hope, we believe that improving mathematics education strengthens long-term opportunity. Through initiatives like this, we continue to bridge educational gaps and empower students across Sri Lanka.

New Laptop Provided

We also provided a laptop to the school to help with the digital education transition and help teachers & administrators plan lessons more effectively and manage student attendance.
